Well made and decent design but did not properly fit my 1911.
This is well designed and well built, but does not apply to every 1911. This is due to the curvature of the trigger guard. The result was the rail either mounted on an angle or slid down the trigger guard. Why did I rate this as 4 stars? Answer: Again it is well built and well designed but one has to make sure it fits their 1911 before committing to keep the device. Honestly speaking, the rail mount could use a small recessed screw hole where it could be affixed to the bottom of the frame below the spring. That being said, I am not an engineer so I do not know the viability of that. Second option, purchase the device and work with a smith to see what they can offer. On devices like this - I would never opt to modify the 1911 to install this. If I wanted to modify the 1911, I would weld a rail in place.

Machined of Metal looks great works super. Two screws, one left, one right and an additional center front to ensure tightness to the trigger guard. Open the two sides to open and remove sides, loosen the front set screw. reattach sides square the rail, tighten sides and snug to your frame with the front set screw and no way its coming loose. attach you accessory of choice and enjoy. The most simple and least cumbersome Rail I have come across. I love this.
